I have the blah's......

Yup. That's me. I think in my effort to absorb all this prepping and gunning and getting to it blogging I overwhelmed myself. I left for 2 days and came back to over 200 posts in my feed. This overwhelms me. This is normal when I am offline. i follow to many people I think. Of course only a few are bloggers I love to read, other's are bloggers who have interesting stuff sometimes but other times it is not for me. or they aren't really friendly. Or they are just info sharing and not actually interacting with anyone. Ugggg...... So if you wonder where my comments have gone it is because I have a huge stack to read so I post comments on the posts I really enjoy. I am reading all of my faves! You guys all rock. I just am feeling off. sick and little energy. Sorry!

  1. I know what you mean about following too many blogs and getting overwhelmed. I have tried to weed out the "uninteresting" ones, but they all have something. I think I must follow about 100 blogs, and darn it, I read most of them!

    Speed reading, that's the answer...

  3. Lila, I find that all this doom-n-gloom stuff naturally wears me out to begin with.

Some aspects of it,like prepping, can be made to be more fun, but only to a certain point, at least from my perspective.

I guess if a person was into this prepping and food canning, before Glenn Beck announced the end of the world a couple of years back, he/she might have a better outlook on things to begin with.

But I got into this stuff because of fear, so no matter what I do to make it "funner" it all goes back to ultimately being "a downer and a drag"

  4. Yes Stephen you are! ;)

Matt I think that is probably a big part of it. I like preparing. I want to plan. I enjoy canning. BUT the thought of things going to heck in a handbasket soon is very dreary. That is so anti me. I am a positive person. I have to be. With my health and some of my fun life adventures it is either be positive or go mad. So maybe the gloom is feeling just to dark. Meh. Not sure how to balance that either.

  5. I get run down sometimes too. You just have to chip away at it a little at a time when you feel like doing some writing. You'll get everybody answered eventually. The hardest emails are the ones people send you who don't want to talk on the blog, but it takes just as long to answer their one question as it does to write a posting for everybody. Still, I figure they must have reasons for communicating by email instead of on the blog with comments.

  6. I'm up to almost 150 blogs, so I know what you mean about betting overwhelmed. I have to skim posts instead of wallowing in them and joining in discussions. I'm still usually a couple of days behind!

  8. So far hermit I don't get emails. probably not cool enough, lol.

Suz I see the huge number and don't even want to try some days. Ugg.

NFO I skim the blogs of those I don't consider friend now. I have to or go mad. I wish I could make separate lists in my reader so I could organize them better. I miss some friends blogs some days when their are oodles because I skim to fast. Then I feel awful.

  9. I hope you're feeling better. I know DW's Fibro can make her depressed sometimes. Fight it! And a hug from me, too.

  13. Figuring out lists helped. So blogs like survival spot can be skimmed. I am feeling a bit better now. Thanks!

We love comments! We are happy to answer questions, join in debate and conversation, or just say hi. All we ask is for respect. Respect us and others. Keep it civil. Obviously we aren't afraid of cussing but we don't like anyone degraded or invalidated.

We also know we make mistakes. Feel free to call us out. You can't improve things that need it if you aren't aware of it.

If you have an opinion share it but know if it is going to cause hurt to someone we care about we will not approve it.
